Amy Given
November 22, 1977 - January 26, 2012
GIVEN, Amy Theresa – 34, of Lower Sackville. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Amy Theresa Given on January 26, 2012 at the Victoria General Hospital. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of Michel and Peggy LaPlante who were her best friends. Her greatest passion was her family; her loving husband Brad and her 4 beautiful daughters, Michaela “Bean”, and her baby triplet angels, Sydney, Payton and Mylee. Her daughters are her legacy. Amy was a very talented young lady who loved to create beautiful things. She adored her nieces and nephews and cherished special relationships she had with her cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends. She always put others needs ahead of her own and always encouraged those that she knew. Amy had a special spot in her heart for her brother, Bobby, who nicknamed her “Osc”, after Oscar the Grouch. She is survived by her loving husband Brad; Daughters, Michaela and triplets Sydney, Payton and Mylee; Grandmother, Theresa Bowden; Father and Mother in law, Doug and Marsha Given; Brother, Bobby (Allison) LaPlante; Brother and sister in law, Doug and Darlene Given; Aunts and Uncles, Shirley and Ron Crooks, Ed Bowden (Michelle Peneiro), Debbie and Jamie Jennings, Honey Murphy (Darrell Lawrence); nieces and nephews, Dawson, Chloe, Matt, Jena and Pace. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Rosario and Marguerite LaPlante; maternal great grandfather, Edward Bowden Sr.; maternal grandfather Edward Bowden and Uncle, Robert Cameron. Amy will be greatly missed by all who loved her. No visitation by request. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday January 30 at 2 p.m. in St. John Vianney Parish, Lower Sackville, with a reception in the church hall.
