<div itemprop="description">MacDonald, Anthony William (Tony), age 56 of Upper Sackville, N.S. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tony on Saturday January 11th, 2014 at the V.G. hospital. Tony will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters and friends along with the three dogs Stomper, Lucy and Patches, which he and his brother owned and raised. Tony did autobody work for most of his life. He enjoyed gardening and was always willing to give you tips on how to grow a big crop. Whenever you had a problem he could help you with, you didn&rsquo;t have to ask&hellip;. He was always willing to help. <br />Tony is survived by sisters; Annie (Sonny) Hirtle of Mount Uniacke, Betty Jean, Thresa Fancy, AnnaMarie and Marcella (Jim), of Sackville, Lisa Fitzpatrick of Hamilton, Joanne of Mississauga, and Florence Richards of Halifax; brothers Lewis, Carl, Thomas (Mary Anne) of Sackville, James of Mount Uniacke, Vincent (Judy) of Halifax, Carl (Sharon), Rodney (Lenka) of Toronto. <br />Tony was predeceasd by his parents Lewis and Florence (Broderick) MacDonald; sister Diane McNeil. His many nieces and nephews will miss him dearly. <br />A Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 15th, 2014 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Atlantic Funeral Home Chapel located at 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. <br />A funeral service will be held on Thursday January 16th, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. James Haughn officiating with a reception to follow. <br />Donations in Tony&rsquo;s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one&rsquo;s choice. <br />The MacDonald family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude for the kind and compassionate care the staff on 6a of the V.G. Hospital gave to Tony during his stay. <br /></div>
