<div itemprop="description">Doucet (Mahoney), Barbara Lorraine – Age 84, of Lower Sackville. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barb on Thursday June 23, 2016, at the QEII Halifax Infirmary Hospital. Born in Halifax she was a daughter of the late, James and Stella (Ferguson) Mahoney. Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Doucet; her son, Thomas; brothers, Jim, John and Francis in infancy; sisters, Ann Shippian, Marie Ramsay, Mill Godwin and Nora Menzies. She is survived by her children, Marilyn (John) Albert, Susan (Robert) Rees, of Ottawa, Brian (Gail), of Wellington, Bill (Dawn), of Lower Sackville, Kari (Ian) MacDonald, of Windsor Junction; daughter-in-law, Carol Doucet. She also leaves behind grandchildren, Tawnia, Paul, Melissa, Sean and Amber; great grandchildren, Xavier, Tyler, ShiAnn, expected twins to Melissa; sisters, Helen Mahoney and Margaret Scott. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm Tuesday June 28 at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, 5 Bedford St. Bedford. Father Patrick Cosgrove officiating. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice.</div>
