<div itemprop="description">Evans, Betty Daphne- age 83, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2013. Born in London, England, on January 7 ,1930, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Helen Biggs. Coming to Canada as a young mother with two small children, our mother was a strong, independent woman who learned to run a household on her own as Dad was often away at sea. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Sydney Frank and siblings, Alfred, Peggy, Dora, Joan and Molly (all of England). She will be greatly missed by her children, Jane, Jill (Ray) of Lower Sackville and Mark (Donna) of British Columbia. Besides her children she is survived by siblings, Peter, Joyce and Ann in England; grandchildren, Katie, Tim, Philip, Haley, Sam, Alex, Matt, Brittany and Patrick, as well as great grandchildren, Jack and Duncan. Our mother had been active in all aspects of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Beaver Bank, for over 30 years. She loved to sew and knit not only for her family by for the children attending Kinsac Elementary School, Beaver Bank, ensuring a winter hat and mitts for all. The family would like to thank the staff of The Adelaide in Waverley, as well as the staff of the Palliative floor at the VG Site, QE 11. There will be no visitation. A service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, December 21st. at 11 a.m. in Church of the Good Shepherd Anglican Church, Beaver Bank. Reception to follow in the church hall.
