REID, Crawford Ormand
Of Waverley, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the age of 92. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, he was a son of the late Frank and Margaret Reid. Crawford served his country with the Royal Canadian Navy during WWII. He retired from CNR in the 1980’s giving him more time to enjoy playing the organ and drums which were such a large part of his life. Crawford will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Arlene; loving children Paul (Sandy), Roy (Karen), Brent (Rose), Glenn (Cindy), and Christina (Andrew MacNeill); cherished grandchildren Sheila, Craig, Michael, Daniel, David, Clayton, Jerrika, Rory, Aaron and Darcy; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. A special thank you to the staff at Camp Hill Veteran’s Memorial for their exceptional care and compassion. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 31 from 6-8 p.m. in St. John’s United Church, 3360 Highway 2, Fall River. The funeral service will take place the following day, Saturday, April 1 at 1 p.m. in St. John’s United Church with Rev. Matthew Fillier officiating. Burial in Oakridge Memorial Gardens, 1078 Old Sackville Rd., Lower Sackville, followed by a reception at the Waverley Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 90, 2234 Rocky Lake Dr., Waverley.
