<div itemprop="description"> <p> <b> O&rsquo;CONNELL, Cyril Lawrence &ldquo;Pup&rdquo; </b> &ndash; passed away peacefully on January 26, 2012 at Christina and Hedley Ivany Place, Bedford.&nbsp; Cyril worked for many years at Moir&rsquo;s Chocolate Factory in Halifax and the Victoria General Hospital/Pathology Laboratory.&nbsp;Pup had a life long love of country music and was a self taught musician, playing the guitar, harmonica and keyboard.&nbsp; He loved nothing&nbsp;better than to make music with his friends and family and had his &quot;music room&quot; where he spent a lot of time in better days.&nbsp; He was also an avid fan of his beloved Toronto Blue Jays, who it seemed always needed a better bunch of pitchers.&nbsp; He loved to tinker and could build or make just about anything and if he couldn't build or make it, he could probably fix it.&nbsp; Cyril will be sadly missed by daughters, Brenda Kelly, Lower Sackville and Nancy Rafuse, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Rene Rafuse, Shawna (Michael) McFarlane, Adam Kelly and Aaron Stratton; great grandchildren, Kayleigh and Evan McFarlane.&nbsp; He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Margaret Lorena (Harrie); son, Wayne at 9 years of age; and brothers, James, Gordon, Harold and Alvin.&nbsp; Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, Lower Sackville.&nbsp; The family would like to thank the caring staff of Bluenose Cove at Ivany Place for treating Pup with love and respect.&nbsp; Also, special thanks to his buddy Dave Smith for visiting him almost every day and caring about his well-being.&nbsp; Pup was a special man who made many friends in his life and was loved by all who knew him.&nbsp; A memorial service and interment in Brookside Cemetery, Bedford will take place at a leter date.&nbsp; Memorial donations may be made to the Northwood Foundation, (902) 454-3069 , information@nwood.ns.ca .
