Miller, David George, 48, Lower Sackville, NS left this earthly life for his eternal home on Monday, Nov., 5th, 2012 ‘Absent from the body, present with the Lord’. Born in Panama to missionary parents, George and Esther Miller, he saw early on what it meant to truly give of yourself. David had an amazing way of loving people and making you feel very special. He was an exemplary husband, father, son, brother-in –law, uncle and friend. All who knew him felt a wonderful comfort in his presence. He lived this past year with pancreatic cancer with such indelible grace that will forever be imprinted on our hearts and minds. A true servant of God, David delighted in the opportunity to serve in his local church and beyond. As a faithful worker he found great satisfaction in serving his many clients as an IT consultant with Nicom IT Solutions. An avid photographer, his love of nature and people were beautifully captured through the eye of his camera lens. He truly was a man after God’s own heart and will be missed greatly. David is survived by his wife of 26 years, Edie Miller; sons, Eric, Andrew, Benjamin; daughter, Rachel, as well as a special ‘just like a daughter’ Amanda Bartlett, all of Lower Sackville. He also leaves behind his loving mother, Esther Miller-Iversen, many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many close friends. He was predeceased by his father, George Miller and step-father, Donald Iversen. Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, November 7th from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. from Faith Baptist Church, 299 Stokil Drive, with Pastor Jeff Reason officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Society of Canada or the Missions Fund at Sackville Independent Baptist Church.
