<div itemprop="description"> <p> Hoadley, David Richard, 87, Middle Sackville passed away March 27, 2012 in&nbsp;Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Building, QEII, Halifax, after a lengthy illness. Born May 2, 1924, in Halifax, David was the son of the late Percy and Augusta (Daley) Hoadley. He grew up in Rockingham. David was a veteran, having served as a pilot with the Royal Canadian Air Force and then the Canadian Army. He worked for the Canadian National Railroad for 28 years. After retirement, David worked as the timer at Sackville Downs Raceway for many years. Davids&rsquo; life interests were his Samoyed dogs, his Ham radio and touring the back roads of Nova Scotia. David was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Alice (Walker); daughter, Corinne, Bridgewater; sons, Graham (Wanda), Middle Sackville and Donald (Judy), Truro; nephew, Kevin (Carrie) McGrath; grandchildren, Amie, Matthew, Mandy and Courtney; great-granddaughter, Kayleigh; sisters, Glorina Patterson, June Cruickshank and Lois (Al) Bingley; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, David was predeceased by his brothers, Robert and John; brothers-in-law, Arnold Patterson and Jack Cruickshank. Special thanks to Dr. Rosemarie A. Taylor, Dr. David Anderson and Dr. Graeme Bethune. Thanks also to the VON home care nurses and the nursing staff of 5 East in the Camp Hill Hospital for their compassionate care. By request there will be no visitation or service at this time. A graveside service will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to a charity of ones&rsquo; choice. </p> </div>
