<div itemprop="description">Mitton, Debra Lynn (Levy) &ndash; of Bedford passed away suddenly on June 10, 2014 at home. Born in Halifax she was the oldest daughter of Goldie F. Levy (Goodwin) and the Late Richard K. Levy. Debra is survived by her loving husband, Brian; sons, Bradley (Meghan), Corey, Andrew (Jennie); brother, Larry (Karen) Levy and sister, Linda (Murray) Pura. Debra graduated from Dalhousie school of Dental Hygiene in 1978 and received the Katie Lubetzki award for highest academic standing in all subjects. She taught at the school for a number of years. She also graduated as a paralegal in 2002. Debra taught Sunday School and was a leader with numerous youth groups, pioneer clubs, junior choir and DVBS Groups. She was a volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society and Basinview Elementary Reading Program. Debra treasured life and loved being around family and friends. She was kind, compassionate and sought out those in need. She will be truly missed by her family and community. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 4 &ndash; 7 pm, Friday, June 13, in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville. Memorial service will take place 10 am Saturday, June 14 at The Halifax Metro Vineyard, Lower Sackville. Donations in memory may be made to the Halifax Metro Vineyard 1129 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville.
