Donna Velma Morgan
January 9, 1949 - September 15, 2016
Donna Velma Morgan (Lowe), 67, of Lower Sackville, NS, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on September 15th. Born in Martins Point, NS, she was the daughter of Rev. Dr. Ralph Lowe and Velma Lowe (Shute).
Words cannot begin to describe this phenomenal, beautiful, kindhearted warrior of a woman and fiery one. She was like a mother to many as she facilitated humanitarian missions across the globe. Donna had many academic achievements and degrees; however, she was better known for her compassion, love, and humility as she encouraged people to honor her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Loved by many congregations throughout Halifax and the Maritimes, she attended Gateway Community Church in Lower Sackville, NS.
Donna will be deeply missed by her husband of 49 years, Evan Morgan. She is survived by her daughter, Cyndy (Matthew) d’Entremont; son, Matthew (Michelle) Morgan; sister, Joyce (Willie) Sarty; brother, Donald (Elaine) Lowe; grandchildren, Joshua d’Entremont, Ellie d’Entremont, Ethan Morgan, and Noah Morgan; grand-doggie, Puck. She was predeceased by her father, mother, and Susan Sarty (niece and mother of Tabitha).
Visitation will be held at Rock Church, 222 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville, on Tuesday, September 20th from 5-9 p.m. A Memorial and Celebration of Life service will be held at Rock Church on Wednesday, September 21st at 6 p.m. You are invited to wear red, Donna’s favourite colour. Burial in Western Shore Pentecostal Cemetery on Thursday, September 22nd at 10 a.m. If you wish, flowers graciously accepted, or donations may be made to Cup of Cold Water, 147 Chandler Drive, Lower Sackville, B4C 1Y3. Online condolences may be made at: www.atlanticfuneralhomes.com
