RHODENIZER, Douglas Stewart
Of Fall River, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at The Moncton Hospital at the age of 81. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Douglas and Marjorie (Little) Rhodenizer.
For most of his working career Doug was an agent for Prudential Insurance. However, it was his second career as a school bus driver that put a smile on his face. He was affectionately known as “Sam” by many of the students.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Joyce (Bowers) Rhodenizer; daughters Belinda McConnell (Bruce) and Darlene Meisner; sons Joe (Susan) and David (Monique); sisters Marjorie Bedford, Cecilia Royal and Theresa Jilks; grandchildren Kelly, Sheena, Kate, Justin, Ryan and Ashley; great-grandchildren Liam, Wyatt and Arlo; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, March 30 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. The funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 31 at 10 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, 9 Jamieson Dr., Fall River. Interment will follow the mass in the Fall River Community Cemetery. All are welcome to a reception in the church hall following the interment. For those wishing, donations to St. Rose of Lima Church or Bedford /Sackville Meals on Wheels would be appreciated by the family.
