<div itemprop="description">Schimpf, Edward Rudolph &ndash; 88 of Halifax, passed away on May 3rd at The Adelaide Respite Inn in Waverley, Nova Scotia. Born in Leader, Saskatchewan, he was a son of the late George J. and Maria E. (Kerbs) Schimpf. He worked as General Manager of Operations at H. H. Marshall Limited from 1959 until he retired in 1992. He was Commodore of the Vernon Yacht Club in Vernon, BC, a former member of the Rockingham and Armdale Yacht Clubs and President of the Fernleigh Park Home Owners Association in Halifax, NS. He is survived by his wife Jessie Jean (Sibbald), sons Glen (Jane) of Quispamsis, NB, and Dale (Eva) of Fall River, NS and granddaughters Katherine, Cassidy and Kaylee; greatgrandsons, Hunter and Maddox. He is predeceased by his brothers Henry, Fred, and George, sister Mary and grandson Michael. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors 1-4 pm, Saturday, May 11 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Kidney Foundation.
