<div itemprop="description">CRAIG, Eleanor &ldquo;Effie&rdquo; B., Beaver Bank, formerly of Lower Sackville. It is with a broken heart that Carson Weatherbee announces the passing of his 87 year old mother on January 19, 2016 at Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Spring Hill, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Lillus (Coleman) Weatherbee. Besides her parents she was also predeceased by husband Philip; brothers Earl, George &ldquo;Buster&rdquo; and Melvin. Effie is survived by her brother Vincent &ldquo;Vinny&rdquo; (Murial) Weatherbee; sister-in-laws, Margerite Weatherbee and Ethlyn Weatherbee; many nieces and nephews. She will be truly missed by her lifelong friend of 50 years, Leona Faulkner. Effie always enjoyed Bluegrass music, bowling and horses. She was a great cook in the family kitchen and at Phil&rsquo;s Restaurant, which she owned. She also owned Phil&rsquo;s Trailer Park in Sackville along with her husband, Philip. She will be sadly missed by friend and neighbour Ross Johnson, who cared for her for many years. Visitation will be held Friday, January 22 from 2-4 and 6-8, funeral service will be held Saturday 10 am, with a reception to follow, all in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive. Burial in Oakridge memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
