Slaunwhite, Harold David, passed away at the Dartmouth General Hospital on Saturday April 12th, 2014 at the age of 64.
Harold was the son of the late Helen and Harold Slaunwhite. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years Colette (Corkum); son David (Krista); grandchildren Jessica and Jordan; daughter Melanie (Richard) Lee; grandchildren Joshua and Jayden; sister Barbara Ann (Flemming) Jenson; brothers Ernie (Terrylee) and Eddy; many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
He was predeceased by brother Bobby.
Harold worked for 25 years at C.P. Express and Transport, and 14 years for Irving Oil.
Harold was a dedicated family man and gentle soul. He left an impression on every person who had the honour to meet him. He loved a good party and was quite a smooth dancer. Harold was always willing to help anybody. He could fix anything and loved working around his home and the homes of others. Harold was quiet, kind and somewhat shy, all the while maintaining a wicked sense of humour. Short in stature but no-one cast a larger shadow than “The Big Guy””. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of Harold’s Life will take place at the Fire Station, 1 Metropolitan Ave, Lower Sackville from 1-4pm on Friday April 18th, 2014.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Dartmouth General Hospital for the care Harold received with a special heartfelt thank you to the nurses of 3 West.

Online condolences may be made by visiting: www.atlanticfuneralhome.com, Sackville Chapel
