<div itemprop="description">Royale, Harold “Harry” James – with heavy hearts we announce the passing of a loving husband and dear father at the age 84. He passed away surrounded by family Monday January 2, 2017 at the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. He was born in Sydney and moved to Halifax at a young age. He built a home in Lower Sackville where he resided most of his life. He retired from DND as a painter. Harry loved telling stories and making people laugh. He was always the life of the party. Harry and Norma enjoyed many years of camping and made lifelong friends. They both loved to dance and won many jiving contests over the years. He was a very loving husband and wonderful and giving father and will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. Harry is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of almost 60 yrs, Norma (Raftus); daughter, Dianne (Bertrand) Lafontaine; sons, James (Cynthia), David, Shawn (Terry), Steven (Cindy); three grandchildren; brother, Donnie Royale; many nieces and nephews. Harry was predeceased by his mother, Christine Royale; brother, James; sisters, Tina, Elizabeth, Cora and Dolly. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm Thursday January 5th at Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. Interment will take place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville. A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Lower Sackville Branch No. 162. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice.</div>
