<div itemprop="description">CHAFFEY, Jason Darcy - 43, Dartmouth, February 4, 2014. <br /> <br />Born in Halifax, December 5, 1970, he was the son of William and Gloria (Kean) Chaffey. After graduating from Liverpool Regional High School, he earned a Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University, and a Master Of Science from the University of Victoria. <br /> <br />He was with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography as a Physical Scientist for the past number of years. <br /> <br />He is survived by his parents William and Gloria, Bedford; sister Nicole (Preston McIntosh), Mississauga, Ontario; special friend Jennifer Shore, Kingston, Ontario; aunt Cynthia (Bill) Pike, Paradise, Newfoundland; aunt Margaret Chaffey, Corner Brook, Newfoundland; uncle Gavin Kean, Toronto, Ontario; uncle Greg Kean, Corner Brook, Newfoundland. He was predeceased by his grandparents Raymond and Elsie Kean of Corner Brook, and Lionel and Ina Chaffey of Corner Brook / Dartmouth. <br /> <br />Cremation has taken place. A gathering will be held 2-4 pm Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville <br /> <br />In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the charity of one's choice. <br /> <br />Online condolences may be made at: www.atlanticfuneralhomes.com <br /> <br /></div>
