<div itemprop="description">Kenneth Neil Ivey <br /> <br />It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kenneth Neil Ivey of Fall River, Nova Scotia on March 21, 2013. <br /> <br />Beloved husband of 37 years to Margaret (MacNeil). Cherished father of Kristin (Ryan) of Crowsnest Pass, Alberta and Michael of Red Deer, Alberta. Ken was predeceased by his parents Sadye B (MacDonald) and Douglas Ivey of Sydney, and father-in-law John H. MacNeil of East Bay and Sister in law Cathy Williams (MacNeil) of Westmount, Cape Breton. <br /> <br />Lovingly remembered by his sister Sharon Smith (Tom) of Hamilton, Ontario and brother David (Lynne) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Mother in Law Margaret (Peggy) MacNeil of Sydney, Sister in law Paula MacIntyre (MacNeil) of Howie Centre, and brothers in law, John MacNeil of Sydney and Gerald (Paddy) MacNeil of East Bay, as well as several nieces and nephews. <br /> <br />Ken was retired from Air Canada where he worked for over 30 years. Ken was an avid pool player and enjoyed the competition playing in the Halifax Metro Pool League, Dooleys Sackville BCA League, and had many fond memories playing pool with his regular Saturday afternoon buddies. He also enjoyed his daily walks and companionship with his loving dog, Jack. <br /> <br />Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville on Wednesday August 28th at 2pm, officiated by Rev. James Haughn, reception to follow. A private family burial at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens in Sydney, Cape Breton will take place at a later date. <br /> <br />In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice. <br />Online condolences may be made by visiting www.atlanticfuneralhomes.com, Sackville Chapel. <br /> <br /></div>
