<div itemprop="description">Burtch, Leonard William &ldquo;Len&rdquo; &ndash; Age 67 of Lower Sackville passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Tuesday, August 19. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Leonard and Esther (Stratton) Burtch. He was a member of Local 56 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, a member of Calais Branch 162 and former member of the Sackville Greys Slowpitch Ball Team. Len was a devoted family man and a &ldquo;Jack of all Trades&rdquo;. Survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary (McGovern); daughter, Carolyn (Adam) Crumpler; son Adam (Jennifer) all of Lower Sackville; grandchildren, Austin, Quinton and Emily; brothers, Alex (Diane), Edward (Sandy); sisters, Linda (Gary) Spencer, Barbara (Roland) Eddy, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Leonard Paul Burtch in 1990. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 7 &ndash; 9 pm Sunday, August 24 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville. A memorial service will be held 1 pm, Monday, August 25 at the Sackville Legion Calais Branch #162, 45 Sackville Cross Road, Lower Sackville - reception to follow. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Lung Association, in Len&rsquo;s memory. Many thanks to the VON and staff of the Palliative Care Unit 7A VG Hospital.
