<div itemprop="description">Thompson, Sgt. Mark Andrew - age 47. It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our loving Husband, Father, Son, Brother and Friend. Mark passed away on Monday, February 3rd, 2014 after a brief battle with Cancer at the Victoria General Palliative Care Centre in Halifax. Born in Kent, England on February 11th, 1966, Mark was the only son of Brian and Jan (Greenfield)Thompson of Lower Sackville. As well as his parents, Mark was survived by his wife of 20 years, Heather (Powell), sons Tim and Tyler, sister Kim (Harold Powell), and loving in-laws Mike and Sandra (Cameron) Powell, Lottie Cameron, and Mike and Kim (Hebert)Powell, as well as nephews Justin Powell and Andrew Powell. Mark was predeceased by infant daughter, Jessica Anne. Mark was in the Canadian Air Force for 26 years. He enjoyed playing Lacrosse, Hockey, Ball Hockey and Bowling. Family and friends are invited to share their memories of Mark during visitation at Atlantic Funeral Home located at 125 Sackville Drive in Lower Sackville on Friday, February 7th, 2014 from 12pm-3pm. Memorial donations may be made to a trust fund for his sons Tim &amp; Tyler that is being set up at the Scotiabank in Lower Sackville.
