<div itemprop="description">Our beloved mother Mary Sposito Gooding passed away on the morning of July 5, 2013 at the age of 90, Halifax, Nova Scotia. <br /> <br />Mom&rsquo;s life journey began in Sicily, Italy where she met her husband, Gordon Hicks Gooding who preceded her in death on May 5, 2002. Gordon and Mary were married for 56 years. <br /> <br />Together they embarked on a life that took them first to England, and then Nova Scotia, Canada having their family of five children: <br />Gary Robert Gooding (Linda Ann), Louella Joan Gooding, Lana Ann Gooding, Daniel Frank Gooding, Rita Gooding Davis (Robin Brent Davis). Six Grandchildren, Nyree, Matthew, Maria, Natalie, Kassia, and Carrly, and Nine Great Grandchildren. <br /> <br />Mom and Dad&rsquo;s life included many wonderful artistic pursuits. <br />Mom was particularly good at painting and loved to prepare food and bake. But, her most gifted talent was her knack for growing beautiful flowers in their backyard paradise. <br /> <br />Her love, prayers and devotion for all of us was never ending, and we now honor her in our memories of especially the good times that seemed to have gone by so quickly. <br /> <br />We remember our mother with great love in our hearts for her tenderness, kindness, and generosity to all today, and always. <br /> <br />Mom&rsquo;s deep faith and love of God saw her through all of life&rsquo;s struggles. May God now grant Mom His Eternal rest and peace? <br /> <br />Visitation will be 9:30 &ndash; 11:00am Saturday July 13, 2013. <br />Atlantic Funeral Home, 124 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville. <br />Officiated by Reverend Jim Anderson.
