Mary Hughina Georgina Moses
December 28, 1943 - April 28, 2016
Moses (Murray), Mary Hughina Georgina - of Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully at home on April 28th, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 28th, 1943 during a snow storm at the Lighthouse in Cape St. George, Richmond County. She was the fourth daughter of Lighthouse Keeper, William and Delina (MacPhee) Murray. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Brian Moses of 52 years and her children, Marjorie (Craig) Melanson, Marlene (Rodney Barnes) Moses-Clarke, David (Shannon) Moses; her grandchildren, Caitlyn and Holly Melanson; Carter and Abigail Moses and her great grand-daughter, Jade Melanson-Spears. She is survived by her brother, Leo (Catherine) Murray and sister, Shirley (Sam) Embree and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; William and Delina (MacPhee) Murray, brothers; Harvey and Ralph, sisters; Lavina and Emily McInnis, and her grandson Jacob Clarke. Her deepest joys in life were travelling and camping with her husband, family and friends in Canada and the Maritimes. She enjoyed her sports of darts and bowling; she played competitive darts and made the top 10 Victoria Women’s Dart league. Visitation will take place on Sunday May 1st from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Atlantic Funeral Home in Lower Sackville. Funeral Service will be held at Saint John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, Lower Sackville on Monday May 2nd at 11am. Father Marc Syrenne officiating. Interment will follow in Oakridge Memory Gardens. The family would like to thank Barb Stewart and the Palliative Care Unit, and CCNS. Donations in memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the QEII foundation.
