<div itemprop="description">Nicholas Anthony Raymakers, age 34, was born on February 7th, 1982 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was raised by his parents, Tony and Trish (Munroe) Raymakers in Mt. Uniacke, Nova Scotia but resided in Bavaro, Dominican Republic until his death on August 20th, 2016. Nic was a motivated entrepreneur, always exploring new ideas and his company Raynic Construction was blooming with its success. He was an athlete, playing hockey for West Hants Minor Hockey for many years, High School hockey for Windsor Regional, Provo Ball Hockey in Turks and Caicos, where he also coached children's ball hockey, and finally on his arrival to Bavaro with the needed equipment, he started the Bavaro Street Hockey League. He was an avid golfer, always competing in tournaments and working on his swing, a dive master and an adrenaline junkie. He loved to entertain friends, surf, travel, watch sports, compete in fantasy sports leagues and most of all, have fun. He will always be remembered for his zest for life, and contagious smile. He is survived by his sister Tia (Dave) and grandmother Joyce Munroe of Mt. Uniacke, his partner Galina Dolbneva of Punta Cana and numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins all over the world. He was predeceased by grandparents William Munroe, Henry and Antonia Raymakers. Funeral service to be held Saturday September 3, 12:00 at the Mt. Uniacke Legion, Branch 165 with reception to follow at the Uniacke Firehall. Rev, Nicholas Hatt will officiate. Family flowers only.
