<div itemprop="description">Nickerson, Eileen C. age 88 of Halifax, passed away peacefully May 27th, 2015 at the QE11 Hospital in Halifax. Born in Trenton, NS, she was the daughter of the late, Vincent &amp; Mary (White) Fagan. She worked at the IWK Hospital as a secretary for the Maintenance Department for 18 years. Eileen is survived by sons, Richard (Susan) of Greenwood, Dale of Lower Sackville, Bruce (Marilyn) of Winnipeg, Scott of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Grandchildren, Troy (Tracey), Sean (Theresa), Jared (Jennifer), Derrick (Lori). Great-grand-children, Courtney, Caitlin, Ryan and Cela as well as nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband David Nickerson and grandchild Nadine. Eileen&rsquo;s main interest was her family. She was a long term member of the Northwood Senior Centre and a volunteer helping those in need especially the seniors. No visitation by request. Cremation to take place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville. Mass of Christian Burial to take place Wednesday 11am at Mother Teresa of Calcutta Church. Fr. Andrew Rembarczyk officiating. Burial in Oakridge Memory Gardens, Lower Sackville. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Special thanks to Dr. J. MacGregor, Doctors and nurses at the QE11 and residents of Dr. Samuel Prince Manor for their caring and friendship during her stay at the Manor.
