<div itemprop="description">GUITARD, Patrick Gerald<br />Of Beaver Bank, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Friday, August 14, 2015 at the age of 80. Patrick was a son of the late Delphis and Lena Guitard (Young) of Jacquet River, New Brunswick. He moved to Nova Scotia when he was 14 and worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Department of Transportation for 30 years. He loved bowling, playing darts, fishing, music, playing his guitar and mouth organ, but most of all, spending time with his devoted family. Patrick is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Beverley, his loving children Darlene MacDonald, Steven (Lisa) and Janet (David Cole), grandchildren Alexis, Haley, and Emma; brother Donat (Bev-deceased), and sister, Veronica (Fred Maxwell-deceased). Predeceased by his brother Alvin and sister Betty (Johnny Palmer &ndash; deceased). Patrick will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, sister-in-law, Gloria, extended family, as well as his close friends whom he met through the years. A special thank you to the staff of the Dialysis Unit of the VG Hospital 6th Floor. A graveside service for Patrick will be held on Friday, August 21 at 11 a.m. in Oakridge Memory Gardens, Middle Sackville. In accordance with his wishes there will be no reception following the service. Donations to the Dialysis Unit of the VG Hospital would be appreciated.
