GREENER, Ralph Christian, 65, Halifax. It is with great sadness the family wish to announce the passing of our brother, on March 6th, at the QE II Infirmary Site, where he had been since early January. His Lord and Savior had a bigger plan to give him a permanent residence in heaven. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late John S. and Estella (Stone) Greener. Ralph’s life as a mental health client weaved and facilitated change, successes and heartache. Our prayer is that Ralph’s life inspired many by his kindness and thoughtfulness. He lived within the Metro Community Housing Association. He was a Montreal Canadiens fan (brain-washed by Papa Joe). He loved Tim Horton’s, especially during Roll UpThe Rim. Ralph was the Dollar Store King of Halifax. He enjoyed spending time with the Connections Club House and Christmas was his favorite time of year. His train trip to Moncton with his sister Joyce was a highlight of his life. Ralph is survived by sister, Joyce (Papa Joe) Paquin, Wellington; brothers, Raymond (Jeanette) Greener, Fall River, Robert (Irene) Greener of Albuquerque, NM, Don (Barbara) Greener, Sackville, Richard “Mickey” (Manuella) Greener, Oakfield; and many nieces and nephews. Ralph was predeceased by brothers, Ronald, Maurice “Teddy”, Reginald (Eva Gaudet). Special thanks to Dr. Mainse and his team as well as the doctors and nurses of 8.3 and to his caregiving family at Metro Community Housing. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 10, from 6-9 and again Friday March 11 from 12 until 1 pm. Funeral service at 1 pm, all in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive. A reception will follow in the funeral home. Burial in Gate of Heaven. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Metro Community Housing Association (Young St. Group Home). Online condolences may be made by visiting the website www.atlanticfuneralhomes.com and selecting the Sackville Chapel

“For Ralph, A new residence in Heaven.”
