<div itemprop="description">MacNamara, Ralph &quot;Mack&quot; - 74 It is with heavy hearts that we announce Mack's passing on July 23rd after a lengthy battle with ill health. Mack passed away at home with members of his family at his side. Mack was born on June 23,1940 in Halifax and was the son of the late Ralph and Frances (Lomas) MacNamara. Mack was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He will be forever loved and missed by his wife of 12 years, Judi (Hartley) MacNamara; his children Mike (Evelyn), Danny (Kelly), and Billy (June), as well as his step children Dawn Marie (Kirk), Zarr (Jodie), and Toma. Mack was a proud grandfather to Ryan, Connor, Josh, Haley, Jayden, Holly, Abigail, Gabrielle, Brianna, Zander and Zander's soon to be born baby sister, as well as his only nephew/Godson Kristopher and Jennifer MacNamara (Smith). Mack is survived by his sister Nancy Marcotte (Ronnie) and predeceased by his wife Marilyn (Briand) and sister Ruth (in infancy). Mack was retired from the Department of National Defence where he worked for years as an automotive/heavy equipment mechanic. He also served for years in the Canadian Armed Forces (Airforce, Army and Reserves). He enjoyed playing pool and socializing with friends at the Sackville Legion, as well as playing the guitar, woodworking and all things electronic. On Mack's behalf we would like to extend special thanks to his amazing CCA care givers; Krysta Hebb and Marc Benoit, two outstanding people who he built an extra special bond with over the past year and a half. A special thank you to Dawn Marie who also played a key role in Dad's care! Cremation has taken place and in keeping with Mack's wishes there will be no funeral service. A celebration of Mack's life will be held at Danny and Kelly's home (9 Winburn Court, Sackville) for family and friends on Wednesday, July 30 at 2:00pm.
