<div itemprop="description">Age 68 of Hammonds Plains passed away at home on Sunday, October 16 2016. <br> <br>Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Wilbur and Arleen Bowser. <br> <br>His passion was his family and his work. <br>Grampy had a deep love and great pride for all his grandchildren. <br>Robert was a hardworking man who owned and operated his trucking company for 40 years. <br>He loved to fish, putter around yard and go out for lunch as long as someone else was paying! <br>He will be remembered for his sense of humour and famous sayings. He loved his two dogs, Cuddles (aka Killer) and Colby. <br> <br>He will be missed by his wife of 46 years, Carol (Harnish); son, Robert; daughter, Sara Pardy, both of Hammonds Plains; grandchildren, Tyler MacDonald, Emily and Timothy Pardy; and many nieces and nephews. <br> <br>Besides his parents, Robert was predeceased by his sister, Gail Stiles; brother, Ronald Bowser; and son-in-law T. Dale Pardy. <br> <br>Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Robert’s life will take place Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 2-4 pm at St. Nicholas Church Hall, 29 Westwood Blvd, Upper Tantallon. A private family interment will take place at a later date in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada, by offering donations to “Dale’s Dream Team” by visiting www.tinyurl.com/robertbowser or calling the Halifax Office at (902) 422-5999. The St. Nicholas Anglican Church will also welcome donations in Robert’s memory. <br> <br>Special thanks to Dr. Mary Keating, clinic staff of 4th floor Victoria General Hospital, the staff of palliative care, and VON nurses. <br></div>
