<div itemprop="description"> <p> <strong> ROBERTSON, Gary George &ndash; Middle Sackville. It is with deep sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Robertson on October 2, 2012, with his family by his side. Born in Halifax, he was a son of Shirley (Dowling) Robertson and the late George Robertson. Gary proudly worked for 35 years in HMC Dockyard and was passionate about his work as a weapons systems specialist for DND. He loved every moment of his and working on the Navy ships before retiring in 2005. Throughout his life Gary loved spending time with his family at his cottage in New Russell and especially enjoyed hunting and driving his 4-wheeler ATV with his extremely close brother &ndash; in-law Billy Nehilcy, who had been a second brother to Gary, they shared a remarkable bond. He enjoyed playing cards, simply spending time&nbsp; with his wife and daughters (he was so proud of them), watching hockey and was an avid Red Sox fan. He and Jan never missed a game. He was a member of Saint John Vianney Roman Catholic Parish, Lower Sackville. He is survived by his devoted wife, the love of his life for 37 years, Jan (Nehilcy); their loving daughters, Cheryl and Angela (James) both of Sackville; step daughter Linda (Sandy) and their three beautiful boys; Gary&rsquo;s son David of Halifax; mother Shirley Halifax; half-brother David,Halifax; nephew and many sister and brothers-in-law. He was predeceased by his father, George Robertson; in laws, rita and Walter Nehilcy. Gary was the perfect husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be remembered for his great strength, love of his family, determination and kindness. He will forever be missed by his loving wife, daughters, son-in-law and all family and friends. The family would like to thank everyone who had been prayinf for Gary, with a special thanks to Linda Chaddock and Linda and Sandy Stackhouse for your amazing support during Gary&rsquo;s illness, we don&rsquo;t know what we would have done without them. To James you are the best son-in-law and we are blessed to have you in our family. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass ceremony will be held on October 6 at 10 a.m. in Saint John Vianney Roman Catholic Church 4 Beaverbank Rd., Lower Sackville, with Father Rob Arsenault officiatinf. A reception will follow in the parish hall. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville for family only. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly be appreciated in Gary&rsquo;s memory to Crohn&rsquo;s &amp; Colitis Foundation of Canada, Maritime Region to help find a cure for Crohn&rsquo;s and Colitis, a cause very close to our hearts.
