<div itemprop="description">BAXTER, Ruth Margaret Ann, 74 of Lower Sackville, passed away May 27, 2015 at the QEII HSC, Infirmary Site. Born in Truro, she was the daughter of the late George and Lillian (Ehler) McAuley. Ruth grew up in Rockingham in a tightly knit family and community. She married in 1965 and immediately moved to Lower Sackville, NS, where she spent her life working to instill a strong sense of family and community in her own children. Through her life Ruth was an active member of many community groups, and has also enjoyed spending time with her spiritual family at the Sackville Christian Fellowship. Ruth enjoyed gardening, reading, spending time with her grandchildren, making new friends, and catching up with old ones. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband Dennis; daughter Tamara (George) Campanis, Namibia; sons, Richard (Carrie) Baxter, Brad (Tasha-Lynn) Baxter all of Lower Sackville; sisters Yvonne Young, Prince's Lodge, Shirley (Robert) Armitage, Rockingham, Sharon (Peter) Kline, Lower Sackville; 9 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by a son, Jonathan. Visitation will be held 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive. The funeral service will be held 10 am Saturday, June 6th from Crossroads Wesleyan Church, 971 Windgate Road, Beaver Bank. A reception will follow after the service. Burial in St. John&rsquo;s Anglican Cemetery, Old Sackville Road. Flowers are welcome, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
