Rylee Keith Sears
November 5, 1998 - January 26, 2015
SEARS, Rylee Keith, 16 of Lower Sackville, passed away at the IWK surrounded by family on January 26, 2015. Born in Halifax, he was the son of Kevin and Holly (Welburn) Sears, and adored older brother to Josh and Madison. Rylee attended grade 10 at Sackville High School, where he played on the volleyball team. His passions were spending time with his family and playing hockey (Sackville Flyers). He was a kind, loving, generous young man. A recipient of a humanitarian award from his school, Rylee brought joy and laughter to all of those who had the pleasure to know him. To know Rylee was to love Rylee. We mourn our beloved Prince, now our Angel. He is survived by paternal grandparents Lee and Ethel Sears and maternal grandparents Sharon and Merl Welburn; aunt Cheryl (William) Deveaux; cousins Shannon (Jeff) Hodder and their children Eva and Jaxon, Willow MacDonald, Caitlin Deveaux, Morgan Deveaux; aunt Heather Sears (Darrell); uncle Ryan (Melody) Welburn; great aunt and uncle Audrey and David McGee; cousin Tammy and daughter Mallory, cousin Shawn (Ada) and children Chelsea and Cole; Great Aunt and Uncle Barbara and Gayle Fisher, great aunt and uncle Donna and Buster Brown and loved by a multitude of additional family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday January 30 from 7-9 pm and Saturday January 31, from 2-8 pm, at the Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive. Cremation will follow. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 3rd , 11 am at Saint John Vianney RC Church, Lower Sackville. A reception will follow in the church hall. A private family burial will take place at Oakridge Memory Gardens. Family flowers only, please. A fund has been established at Scotiabank in Bedford - Rylee Sears In Trust For Sackville Minor Hockey for less fortunate kids. Special thank you to all who cared for Rylee from Wednesday, until his passing. Our sincere, heartfelt appreciation for all of your wonderful care and compassion shown to Rylee and our family.
