<div itemprop="description">Campbell, Shirley Helen – August 3, 1926 – October 7, 2016. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Shirley Campbell, age 90 of Halifax (formerly of Middle Sackville) at the QEII Halifax Infirmary Hospital. Born in Eastern Township, Quebec, she was the daughter of the late Mildred (Camp) LeBlanc and Emil LeBlanc. <br>Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 52 yrs Gordon Campbell, whom she always missed dearly.<br>She is survived by her daughter Heather Campbell and son-in-law Heinz Sauer, Faro Yukon Territory; sister-in-law Lois Campbell, Bathurst, NB; nephews Alex and Clark Campbell; sister Connie Watchel, niece Deborah and husband Mark Hanna and grandniece Julie all of Montreal: cousins & friends, including special friends Ron & Lynn Banks, Coreen & Pieter Vanderwerf, Lise Struer, Ted & Betty Fowler, George & Theresa Pike.<br>Shirley was a loving wife and mother, and was a talkative, creative spirit who loved all crafts, especially sewing, knitting, crochet and painting. She was also known for her love of animals, especially her `fur grandkids` Copper, Titus, & Quinn. <br>Deepest appreciation goes to the Northwood staff (especially Shaunna MacIsaac), and our hearts will always be grateful for the special friendship she had with Diane. A friendship that was meant to be.<br>Visitation will be held from 7-9 pm Wednesday October 12th at Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville where a funeral service will be held at 2 pm Friday October 14th. Lay minister Grant Kerr officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.</div>
