<div itemprop="description">MARSH, Shirley Joan, 81 of Lower Sackville. It is with profound sorrow that Shirley&rsquo;s family announce her passing on November 25, 2015 at the Cobequid Community Health Centre. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Virtue (Bennett) Dowling (second husband Everett Delbert Logan ). Shirley will be fondly remembered for her friendliness and outgoing personality. She will be sadly missed by her close knit circle of friends. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, loved animals and had been a champion swimmer and diver in her younger years. She was a beloved Nanny to her grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Shirley is survived by her husband of 64 years, Donald Marsh, Lower Sackville; daughter, Brenda Dawn Marsh (Peter) Dennis, Lower Sackville; sons, Charles Ronald Marsh, Halifax, Darrell Steven (Sandra) Marsh, Middle Sackville; sisters Patricia Logan, Dartmouth, Mary Ann (Anne) Logan, Calgary; brothers Donald (Jean) Logan, Mount Uniacke, Colin (Judy) Logan, Calgary, Walter (Wanda) Dowling, Ontario; grandchildren Ryan, Natasha, Deirdre, Jarrod, Shayla (with whom she held a special attachment), Ainslie, Spencer; 7 great- grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by daughter, Dawn Jan Marsh; brothers, Charles (Sarah) Dowling Junior, Robert (Joan) Dowling. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 10 am Monday November 30, 2015 in the Chapel of Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville. Reverend James Haughn officiating. Family flowers only donations may be made to Bide Awhile Shelter, Hope For Wildlife, Alzheimer&rsquo;s Society of Nova Scotia, or a charity of one&rsquo;s choice.
