<div itemprop="description">Way, James “Jim” David - Age 76, of Beaver Bank, passed away peacefully Wednesday October 12, 2016 at the QEII Hospital, Halifax. Born in St. Catherine’s, Ontario he was a son of the late Morley and Helen (Fitzsimmons) Way. Jim had a keen interest in antique cars. He was a member of the Halifax Antique Car Club since 1996. He was very active with outdoor sports, skiing, skating and biking. Jim was active in volunteering for meals on wheels. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His grandkids were everything to him. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 yrs, Carol Way; daughter, Cyndi; son, Hugh; grandchildren, Travis, Jesse, Steven, Brandon and Connor; sisters, Loraine Gourlay, Schomberg, Ontario, Linda Hunt, Durham, Ontario; special aunt, Betty Reed, Georgetown, Ontario; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Jim was also predeceased by his brother, Ron. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Monday October 17th at Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville where a memorial service will be held Tuesday October 18th at 2 pm. A reception to follow. A private family interment will take place at a later date in Oakridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Sackville. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the QEII for their special care shown to Jim. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Society Maritime Region or to Canadian Diabetes Association.</div>
