<div itemprop="description">Lohnes, (Pottie) Mary Evangeline "Eva" "Mama" <br>December 28, 1925 - September 26, 2016 <br>Of Beechville and Enfield <br> <br>Died peacefully in the QEII Infirmary surrounded by her family. <br> <br>Born in West L'Ardoise, C.B. she was a daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Berthier) Pottie. <br>She was a devoted and loving mother. Mom had a love of life and a strong commitment to all of her family. She was known as "Mama" to many who knew her; that was a sign of their affection and respect for her. She taught by example how to love, be a better person, and enjoy life. She will be greatly missed, however, we carry her in our hearts and know she is dancing in Heaven. <br> <br>She is survived by her children, Cynthia Clark (late Jim), Heckman's Island, Helena (Cory) Horne, Beaver Bank, Foster (Mary nee Rhynold), Dartmouth, Elaine (Glenn) Crews, Enfield, Kevin (Marianne nee Geldart), Halfway Brook, Adrian (Mary Jean nee Thorne), Enfield, Maxine (Angus) Orman Enfield, and Byron (Kelly nee Judge), Lower Sackville; <br> <br>sisters, Monica (Bernard) Gareau, Dartmouth, and Helen (Joe) Cogswell, Halifax; <br>many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her dear friends Margaret Kenty and Cathy Currie. <br>She is predeceased by her husband Keith Hubert Lohnes, grand-daughter Shannon Lohnes, sister, Doris (Votaw), brothers Allister “Buster”, Maxwell “Mackie”, and Edwin. <br> <br>She was a lifetime member of the CWL Sacred Heart Parish, Lakeside. A past member of the Armdale-Fairview-Rockingham Lionettes. <br>Visitation will be held on October 3rd, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the Atlantic Funeral Home 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. <br>A funeral Mass will be celebrated on October 4th 2016 at 11 am in St. Bernard's RC Church 253 #2 Hwy. Enfield. Fr. Duncan MacMaster officiating. <br>There will be a reception to follow at the Enfield Fire Hall 273 #2 Hwy. Enfield. <br>Interment will then take place in the Riverside Cemetery East LaHave. <br> <br>Memorial donations may be made to the Parker St. Food Bank, CWL St. Marguerite Bourgeois Parish (Sacred Heart) or charity of your choice. <br>Online condolences may be made by visiting the Lower Sackville Chapel at www.atlanticfuneralhomes.com <br></div>
