<div itemprop="description">Aalders, Victor Harold - Age 82, of Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully Jan 18th, 2016 at Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Fairview, he was the son of the late Harvey and Nora (Legge) Aalders. He was employed with the Dept of Highways and former Halifax County School Board during his working career. Dad enjoyed darts and crib and was known to double peg on many occasions if not closely watched. The love of his life besides mom was his music, a singer / guitar player for more than 60 years he played dances, tributes, funerals, fundraisers and more house parties than he could count. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty (Beatrice Appleby); daughter, Carolee; sons, Bruce (Cindy Davidson), Wade (Lillian Peach), Earl (Susan Cleveland); grandchildren, Craig, Shawn, Darcie, Samantha, Allister. Dad was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by sisters, Leta (Ferguson), Minnie (Snow); brothers, Richmond, John, Alfred, Jarold (Ray), Donald (Bud), Cyril (Sandy), Eric (Butch / Joan Wilkinson) and a brother in infancy. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday Jan 30th, 2016, 2 &ndash; 4 pm at the Beaverbank Kinsac Lions Club, 40 Sandy Lake Rd. Beaverbank. Special thanks to the Beaverbank Kinsac Lions Club for their support and kindness to dad these past years. We would also like to acknowledge the professional care he received from Rhonda (We Care) and all staff at the Hants Community Hospital. Donations may be made to the Beaverbank Kinsac Lions Club or the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.</div>
