HUNT, Pamela Alice (née Vyvyan)
Of Lower Sackville
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother and gran-nan on September 21, 2015 at the age of 89. Mom was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on Feb. 21, 1926 to the late Hugh W. & Mary R. (Lowe) Vyvyan.
Pam joined the navy as a nurses aid and was posted to Halifax in 1944. It was here that she met her husband Clyde. Together, they had three loving daughters, Marsha, Judy and Debbie. They were fortunate to gain two sons through marriage, Ken Dixon and the late John Dixon. Pam was lovingly known as Nan to all who knew her, whether you were in her life for years, or had only just met her. She loved nothing more than to spend time with her family and took great pride in their accomplishments. She is survived by daughters, Marsha (Ken), Judy (the late John) and Debbie, five grandchildren, Jeff (Jenn), Craig (Leanne), Jody (Terry), Shelly and Michael (Krista). Pam is also survived by ten beautiful great-grandchildren, Madison, Nathan, Claire, Keira, Sara, Danielle, Megan, Gabriel, Ian and Ross, who will miss her dearly. She has a very special place in all our hearts. She is also survived by her brother Dick and his family, as well as other nieces and nephews. Survived by her sister-in-law Margie Hunt. She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde, her parents Hugh and Mary, her sister Rosemary, her brothers Patrick and Peter, and her son-in-law John, in-laws Fred and Maude Hunt, Shirley and Bob Orman, and Harvey and Scottie Hunt and John Hunt. We would like to say a very special and heartfelt thank you to Dr. E.B. Johnson and the doctors and staff of 8.2 at the QEII Halifax Infirmary, especially Dr. Mark Robinson and care worker Brenda. Cremation has already taken place. Visitation will be held at the Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr. Lower Sackville, on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be Friday, September 25, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home Chapel.
